Mark Greenfest of <a href=\"http:\/\/soundwordsight.com\/?p=1092\" target=\"_blank\">SoundWordSight<\/a>\u00a0writes:\u00a0&#8220;[it]\u00a0sounded like an impressionist fantasy \u201d\u201c a tone poem \u201d\u201c and was most appealing sonically.&#8221;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.jkcf.org\/Welcome-to-the-Jack-Kent-Cooke-Foundation-Blog\/bid\/378436\/Scholar-Spotlight-NYU-Symphony-Performs-JKCF-Scholar-s-Composition\" target=\"_blank\">The premiere was also featured on the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation blog<\/a>,\u00a0which selected\u00a0me for\u00a0their &#8220;Scholar Spotlight.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Last month I had the great pleasure of revisiting the location in the Point Reyes National Seashore depicted in Tom Killion&#8217;s woodblock print, from which my composition for orchestra took its name and inspiration.
