The faculty of Boston GuitarFest’s Young Guitarists Workshop –\u00a0Adam Levin, Will Riley, Devin Ulibarri,\u00a0and\u00a0Colin Thurmond\u00a0– will be giving the World Premiere of\u00a0Wanderlust<\/em>\u00a0(2015) for\u00a0guitar quartet (13 1\/2 minutes), which they commissioned for this occasion.<\/p>\n

On this concert, Devin Ulibarri will also be reprising\u00a0Triptych\u00a0<\/em><\/a>(2011),\u00a0a solo work (7 minutes) I composed for him to perform on Tuesday Night New Music in the very same concert hall\u00a0back when we were students at NEC!<\/p>\n

Wanderlust\u00a0<\/em>is my\u00a0second work performed as part of Boston GuitarFest and my third collaboration with Devin. He and Alicia Mielke premiered\u00a0Dai-Shizen (Great Nature)<\/em>\u00a0(2014) for flute and guitar\u00a0last year on Boston GuitarFest’s Emerging Artist Marathon.<\/p>\n
