{"id":299,"date":"2016-11-07T11:13:02","date_gmt":"2016-11-07T16:13:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nellshawcohen.com\/blog\/?p=299"},"modified":"2017-01-17T15:01:26","modified_gmt":"2017-01-17T20:01:26","slug":"new-videos-refuge-premiere-and-landscape-music-interview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nellshawcohen.com\/blog\/2016\/11\/new-videos-refuge-premiere-and-landscape-music-interview\/","title":{"rendered":"New Videos: &#8220;Refuge&#8221; Premiere and Landscape Music Interview"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Jn7hU3deqaU?rel=0\" width=\"100%\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The concert\u00a0I curated for the <strong>Parrish Art Museum<\/strong>\u00a0last September<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>featured NYC-based chamber quartet <strong>Cadillac Moon Ensemble<\/strong> in a program of music written by\u00a0members of the\u00a0<strong>Landscape Music Composers Network<\/strong>\u00a0celebrating the National Park Service centennial.\u00a0It was tremendously gratifying to see a year&#8217;s planning come to fruition and to receive such a great audience turnout and response.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/easthamptonstar.com\/Lead-c\/2016901\/Nell-Shaw-Cohen-Engages-Nature-Through-Music\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0 0 10px 10px;\" src=\"https:\/\/gallery.mailchimp.com\/4cb5cb83e61e2ff4c679fc7f1\/images\/684ac658-8ecc-457c-8a5a-c74976d70d77.jpg\" alt=\"Nell in The East Hampton Star\" width=\"240\" height=\"186\" align=\"right\" \/><\/a>We received coverage in several publications, including <em>The East Hampton Star, <\/em>which featured an <a href=\"http:\/\/easthamptonstar.com\/Lead-c\/2016901\/Nell-Shaw-Cohen-Engages-Nature-Through-Music\" target=\"_blank\">article<\/a> about my work\u00a0on\u00a0the front page of their Arts &amp; Living section.<\/p>\n<p>This event included the World Premiere of my wildlife conservation suite, <em><strong>Refuge<\/strong>, <\/em>written for Cadillac Moon Ensemble. You can now\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Jn7hU3deqaU\" target=\"_blank\">watch the performance online<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>I also had the opportunity to sit down with three fellow composers, who traveled from all around the country to participate in this event.
