\"HistoricI’m thrilled to share *six* upcoming World Premiere performances of my new work for chamber septet, Breath of the Meadow, Heart of the Woodland,\u00a0<\/em>inspired by the landscapes of New York City’s Prospect Park and\u00a0Central Park.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n

My piece will be performed\u00a0by three outstanding presenters of new chamber music\u2014Juventas New Music Ensemble, American Wild Ensemble, and Michigan Technological University Department of Visual and Performing Arts\u2014as part of\u00a0Lungs of the City: Olmsted\u2019s Parks in Music<\/a>, a concert series and\u00a0all-World Premiere\u00a0program of works by eight composers celebrating public parks and commemorating the\u00a0bicentennial of the birth of legendary landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted.<\/p>\n

I’m honored to have\u00a0co-curated and co-commissioned this\u00a0program as\u00a0Director of\u00a0Landscape Music<\/a>:\u00a0<\/strong>an international network of composers and performers whose music engages with landscape, nature, and place.<\/p>\n

Juventas New Music Ensemble\u00a0gives\u00a0the first performance<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a0Saturday, March 26, 2022 in Cambridge, MA\u2014<\/strong>which will also be presented\u00a0as a\u00a0free, live broadcast on YouTube!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Several more performances will follow, including exciting outdoor concerts in Prospect Park (Brooklyn, NY), Fort Tryon Park (New York, NY), and Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site (Brookline, MA)\u2014three of the Olmsted-designed parks highlighted on the program.<\/p>\n
